Dividing room with drywall?

I am trying to divide my basement with drywall, I want to take a L-shaped part of the basement and remodel that part, even add some doors. On the short side of the L i want to separate from the rest, with a door. Do i need to insulate the news walls? And how would I make it so it would be less noticeable that the new part is new?
