Looking at a rifle, want some opinions (savage)?

Hey i have been looking for a decent white tail rifle for next season, and ive stumbled upon one i think i can afford. Its a savage model axis xp camo. I want to get it in .270 caliber. anyone who knows anything about savages, specifically the axis models please give some opinions. P.S. the "axis" was formerly known as the "edge"
