I cant install my MP3 player back into my computer...?

i just recently got my computer back from the shop because i had a virus and i have had to reinstall many things, but it wont let me do my MP3 phillips player so i can add songs to it. every time i try it says: "cannot install this hardware. There was a problem installing this hardware: MTP device. An error occurred during the installation of the device. The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect." and i dont know what it means. what does it mean and is there anything i can do to install this?
