I have a swan fridge and as i was defrosting it, the bulb blew up.is it safe to use without the bulb?

i have a swan fridge, model NR-02. i was defrosting the fridge when i heard a bang and found the bulb to be blown up. i have removed the bulb and the fridge is now fully defrosted, but is the fridge safe to be turned back on without the bulb? and when the bulb blew the mains turned off aswell which meant that i had to unplug the applience, and turn the mains switch back on.
