Why do i keep picking the people that dont do me any good???

So i always find a way to go with a dude that is just and ***. Like the guy i have right now he is always askin if my friends are hot or tryin to hook up with them. like he hit on my best friend when i was sittin right next to. i dont get it someone help plz
