Will this settle anything or just makes things worse?

Nasri is obviously the better player. You wouldn't get away with comparing them if Bale hadn't just scored a hat-trick against Inter. If someone had said that Bale was better than Nasri a week before the Inter game...well...nobody would even try it. And in a few months time, when Bale hasn't done anything else of note, it will be back the same.
