Lace wig adhesive?

Im clueless. Just purchased a full lace wig and two adhesives (a brush on liquid and tape). Both adhesives are weak and the wig simply detaches from my head. The tape is also shiny. Please help me to wear this expensive accessory that I have just purchased. Also, how much lace should remain around harline (i have as little as 1/8 of an inch in the front).
